Dear Readers,
We are introducing a new issue of the Journal of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy which presents scientific articles of the participants in the 8th International scientific and practical conference “Scientific-technical progress in metallurgy”. The conference was held on October 23-24, 2015 at Karaganda State Industrial University, Kazakhstan.
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Leader of nation Nursultan Nazarbayev in the historical Strategy «Kazakhstan-2050» set the global goals, in the first place, human capital development, staffing priorities of industrial-innovative development of the country, improving the quality of scientific research and innovation.
To achieve these goals it is required the unification of the triad of education, science and innovation, which is possible only in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, to provide training on international standards, conducting research on modern scientific equipment, close cooperation with industry.
Key objective of our conference is to find solutions to improve the quality of specialists in the field of engineering and technology and the training of engineers for coming of the Third industrial revolution. We have an exchange of views as in traditional scientific fields that meet the needs of mining, metallurgical, and machine industries, and new fields of research, which marks a revolutionary change in the world. The head of our state in Plan of the nation - 100 concrete steps on the implementation of five institutional reforms makes the task of entering to the top 30 developed countries in the new historical conditions.
Karaganda State Industrial University is one of the leading universities of Kazakhstan for training of highly qualified specialists for mining and metallurgical complex, energy, construction, transport and engineering industries. The University has trained more than 22 thousand engineers and production managers.
This International Scientific and Practical Conference aims at identifying promising areas for spiders and their integration with manufacturing for development of metallurgical complex of Kazakhstan. The conference proceedings contain articles of the leading scientists and experts of Kazakhstan, CIS and far abroad related to the development of innovative and knowledge-based technologies, nanomaterials in the field of metallurgy and technology of processing of materials pressure, ecology and protection of environment and improvement of quality of preparation of competitive experts.
This issue of the journal is published with the support by the Rector of the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, Professor Dr. Mitko Georgiev, and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Professor Dr. Bogdana Koumanova, whom I sincerely thank with the hope for further cooperation.
I wish all the readers of the journal new scientific achievements and realization of their plans and projects.
Professor D.Sc. Marat K. Ibatov,
Rector of the Karaganda State Industrial University
